Sunnyvale epoxy floor coatings
Yes, we pour floors in Sunnyvale
Sunnyvale is home to about 155,000 people, the old Moffett Field airfield, a historic downtown on Murphy Avenue and a long list of tech headquarters. It is a straight run northwest from our home base in San Jose, and the whole city is inside half an hour of the truck.
The housing is famous for its Eichler neighborhoods and its mid century tracts, and both were built on slabs. Eichlers in particular have radiant heat pipes in the concrete and no basement, so the slab is the floor, and any coating has to respect what is inside it. That is a conversation Josh has on the first visit, before a grinder comes anywhere near it. It is part of every residential floor install we do here.
What a Sunnyvale slab is actually up against
Age and use. Most Sunnyvale garages were poured between the 1950s and the 1970s, and they have carried oil, dust and hot tires ever since. The surface powders, the stains go deep, and a coat of garage paint from a past owner is usually flaking somewhere. All of it comes off with the diamond grinder, because a coating only holds onto open concrete.
In an Eichler, the slab also carries the heating. Josh checks for the pipes and grinds accordingly, because the grinder takes off the surface and nothing more. Get that right and a sealed floor is one of the best upgrades an Eichler garage or atrium can have.
What we handle here
Floors we pour in Sunnyvale
Flake and Solid Garage Floors
The job Sunnyvale asks for most: a gray slab that has been catching oil, dust and tire marks for years. We grind it back to open concrete, fill the cracks, roll the base coat and seal it under a polyaspartic topcoat. Here is the garage floor install.
Hand Poured Metallic Floors
The floor Josh is known for. Reflective pigment moved by hand through wet resin, so the floor has veins and movement and never repeats. Entries, studios, showrooms and show garages in Sunnyvale. See a hand poured metallic floor.
Rooms Inside the House
Studios, gyms, laundry rooms, mud rooms and converted garages on a slab. The old floor comes up, the slab gets ground, and a sealed coating goes down that you can live on. Same build we use on our residential floor installs.
Shop, Studio and Warehouse Floors
Sunnyvale businesses run on floors that take carts, boots and spills all day. A coated floor stands up to that and cuts the cleaning down to a mop, and we work around your opening hours. Have a look at a commercial floor coating.
Why Sunnyvale calls us
Why Sunnyvale homeowners call Josh
Joshua Rodriguez owns this business and does every estimate himself. He looks at your concrete, tells you what it needs, then he is the one on his knees moving the pigment through the resin. Nothing is handed to a stranger.
He is honest about the limits of the trade. A slab that is heaving or breaking up needs a different trade first, and he will say so rather than coat over it. What he cares about is the prep nobody sees once the floor is down.
Where you will find us around Sunnyvale
Downtown runs along Murphy Avenue and Mathilda, and the neighborhoods around it, from the Eichler tracts near Fremont Avenue out to Cherry Chase and Ponderosa Park, are where most of our Sunnyvale garages are. North of 101 it is Moffett Park and the campuses along Mathilda and Java Drive, which is where the commercial and showroom floors are.
Older tracts south of El Camino have concrete with real history on it. The newer townhomes going up along El Camino and near downtown are flat builder slabs with a trowel finish that paint cannot grip. Same grinder either way.
Where we work

We cover the whole city, from the Eichler tracts and downtown out to Moffett Park. The same truck runs east to floor coatings in Santa Clara, south to Los Gatos and across to Milpitas.

Straight answers about your epoxy floor questions
Do you actually come into Sunnyvale?
Yes. The city is about twenty minutes from our San Jose base on 101 or Central Expressway. Send the form and Josh will set a time to look at the slab.
Can you coat an Eichler slab with radiant heat in it?
Often, yes, with care. The grinder only takes off the surface, and Josh checks where the pipes run before any work starts. Tell him it is an Eichler at the estimate.
Why did my last garage floor coating peel off?
Usually because the concrete was never ground open, so the coating sat on the surface, or moisture was pushing up through the slab. Grinding first and checking for moisture stops it happening twice.
Do you fix cracked or sunken concrete in Sunnyvale?
No. Josh coats and pours over sound concrete, he does not repair it. If a slab needs structural work, get that sorted first and then we can talk about a finish.
How long is my Sunnyvale garage out of use?
One to three days depending on the finish. A flake floor is usually one to two, a metallic pour two to three. You get the dates in writing before the grinder shows up in Sunnyvale.
Can you match a color to the house?
Yes. Flake comes in different blends and chip sizes, and metallic is mixed to the colors you want. Josh brings samples out to your Sunnyvale home so you are choosing off something real.
