Commercial flooring installation

A sealed floor that keeps the doors open

Commercial concrete takes more than a garage does, and it takes it every day. Forklifts and pallet jacks, chemical spills, a mop and a degreaser every night. Bare concrete dusts, stains and gets harder to clean the longer it goes. A coated floor is one sealed surface: it wipes down, bounces light back into the room and does not soak anything up.

Josh looks at what the room does before he picks a system. A retail floor wants gloss and a color that suits the brand. A stockroom wants a heavier build with texture. A warehouse wants a topcoat that shrugs off wheels.

Tell us what the space does and ask Josh for a free estimate.

How do you coat a floor without closing the business?

We section it. The floor is split into zones and each zone is ground, coated and cured while the rest of the space keeps working, or the work runs overnight and on the days you are closed. Polyaspartic topcoats cure fast, which is what makes the schedule possible. Josh writes the sequence into the estimate so you know which area is off limits on which day. It is the part of the job our San Jose epoxy flooring contractor plans first.

What does a retail or showroom floor need?

Looks first, then wear. The store pictured here runs a dark gloss floor that reflects the track lighting and makes the merchandise the brightest thing in the room. A showroom might go metallic so the floor itself is part of the display. Both still get the full grind and the polyaspartic topcoat, because a retail floor takes thousands of feet a week. See the metallic pours we do for spaces that want to stand out.

Need a floor that survives the week?

Tell Josh what the space does and how many hours you can spare, and you get the plan and the price in writing.

What about warehouses and workshops?

A heavier build. Thicker base coat, a flake or solid color finish with grip in it, and a topcoat rated for wheels and chemicals. Line striping and safety zones can be coated in. The prep is the same as everywhere else, a full diamond grind, because a shop floor that peels under a forklift is worse than no coating at all. The same rule applies to every home floor we install.

Studios, gyms and salons?

All good candidates. The studio floor pictured here is a rose metallic pour across a full room, sealed so it takes chairs, equipment and daily cleaning. A gym floor wants texture and a chemical resistant topcoat. A salon wants something that wipes clean of color and product. Tell Josh what the room does and he will spec the build for it, the same way he does for every epoxy flooring job.

Straight answers about your epoxy floor questions

Can you work outside our opening hours?

Yes. Most commercial jobs run overnight, on closed days or in sections so the business keeps trading. Josh writes the sequence into the estimate.

How long is a commercial floor out of use?

Each zone is usually back in use within a day or two of its topcoat, depending on the system. Fast curing polyaspartic topcoats are what make short closures possible.

Can the floor match our brand colors?

Yes. Solid colors, flake blends and metallic pigments can all be matched to a palette. Josh brings samples so you approve the color in your own lighting.

Does an epoxy floor handle forklifts and chemicals?

With the right build, yes. Warehouses get a thicker system and a topcoat rated for wheels, oil and cleaning chemicals. Tell us what the floor takes and it gets built for that.

Can you coat over our existing commercial floor?

The old coating comes off first. We grind it back to open concrete so the new system bonds to the slab, not to whatever was failing on top of it.

Which areas do you cover for commercial work?

San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Campbell, Los Gatos, Milpitas, Fremont and across the Bay Area. Send the square footage and what the room does through the form.
