Why San Jose calls Diamond Coating Epoxy
One trade, and one kind of floor done properly
Plenty of flooring contractors will sell you carpet, tile and hardwood and treat concrete as an afterthought. Diamond Coating Epoxy goes the other way. Concrete is the whole business, so the grinder, the crack filler, the metallic pigment and the polyaspartic topcoat are things Josh handles every week rather than once a season. If you want a floor you can park a hot car on, drop a wrench on and mop clean, that is the floor he builds, and he prices it himself so nothing gets promised that cannot be delivered.
A coating is only as good as the concrete it grips, which is why every slab gets a full diamond grind before a drop of resin goes down. It also means you get told when a coating is the wrong answer. A slab that is heaving or breaking up through its full depth needs a different trade, and a coating over it just buys a year. What we handle
Epoxy Floor Coating Services in San Jose
Epoxy Flooring
Epoxy is a two part resin that bonds down into open concrete instead of sitting on the surface like paint. Once it cures you have a seamless, hard, chemical resistant floor with no grout lines and nowhere for oil or dust to hide. It is the base of every system we install, with polyaspartic over the top. See how we approach epoxy flooring.
Metallic Epoxy Floors
The floor Josh is known for. Reflective pigment is moved through the wet resin by hand, so the finished floor has veins, pools and movement, and no two ever repeat. It suits entries, studios, showrooms and any garage you keep spotless. Here is how a metallic epoxy floor is poured.
Flake Epoxy Floors
Color chips broadcast into the wet base coat until the concrete disappears, scraped smooth and sealed under a clear polyaspartic topcoat. The texture hides dust and tire marks and gives you grip. It is the workhorse for garages, workshops and laundry rooms. Read about our flake epoxy floors.
Garage Flooring Installation
The garage is the job we do more than any other. Hot tires, dropped tools and oil all land on that one slab, and a coated floor takes the lot while hiding the marks bare concrete shows off. Most garages are ground, coated and back in use within days. Here is our garage flooring installation.
Commercial Flooring Installation
Retail floors, showrooms, studios, stockrooms and warehouses need a floor that survives daily traffic and daily cleaning. Heavier builds give you a hard, sealed surface, and the work is scheduled around your hours so the doors stay open. See our commercial flooring installation.
Residential Flooring Installation
Inside the house, an epoxy floor is seamless and easy to live on. Studios, gyms, laundry rooms, mud rooms, workshops and patios all get prepped, coated in the finish you pick, and sealed. Read more about residential flooring installation.

Straight answers about your epoxy floor questions
Do you install carpet, tile or hardwood?
No. Diamond Coating Epoxy is a concrete coatings specialist. We grind, coat and seal concrete floors, and that is all we do.
What is the difference between epoxy and polyaspartic?
Epoxy is the hard base coat that bonds into the concrete. Polyaspartic is the topcoat that goes over it, cures faster and holds its color in the sun. Most of our floors use both, each doing the job it is best at.
What makes a metallic floor different from flake?
A metallic floor is pigment moved by hand through wet resin, so it looks like polished stone with movement in it. A flake floor is color chips broadcast into the base coat for a speckled, textured finish that hides more. Both get the same grind and topcoat.
Do you work on commercial floors as well as homes?
Yes. We coat home garages, studios and interior slabs, and retail, showroom, studio and warehouse floors. The system changes with the traffic the floor takes.
How do I know a coating is right for my slab?
Josh looks at it first. If the concrete underneath is sound, a coating is usually the best value there is. If the slab is moving or breaking up through its full depth, he tells you that instead of coating over the problem.
What areas do you cover?
We are based in San Jose, CA and work across Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Campbell, Los Gatos, Milpitas, Fremont and the wider Bay Area. If you are not sure whether you are in range, just ask.
